The Manor House
At the heart of our care home is the stunning 18th century Manor House. This charming listed building has been sympathetically refurbished to provide a unique activities centre and focal point for daily life at West Hall. With it’s impressive façade and canopied entrance, The Manor House has aesthetically appealing architecture in keeping with it’s rich heritage, while the interior has been carefully restored to provide beautiful spaces for our wide range of new leisure facilities.
Boasting a library, Wi-Fi access, activity rooms, a hairdressing beauty salon, two lounges, a garden room and both a bistro and private dining room, the Manor House provides superior facilities designed to enrich and vary the daily life of our residents and their friends and family.
These leisure spaces are used for our wide range of social activities on a daily basis and have been decorated to have a warm, homely feel. The many rooms of the Manor House feature wood effect throughout, including for functional pieces such as handrails, ensuring even speciailised fittings that encourage independence and choice are presented with style and elegance.
Licensed bistro
The beautifully restored dining hall in the Manor House offers a delightful dining experience for everyone. Featuring a vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams and a stained glass archway, our bistro is fully licensed and ideal for get-togethers with other residents and guests.
Hair and beauty salon and treatment room
Our salon has stacked stone walls to give it a luxurious spa feel, while visiting therapists provide a range of treatments for residents in our dedicated occupational therapy and treatment room.
The Garden Room
A lovely, light and airy room, our Garden Room is perfect for taking in the view of the gardens at West Hall without going outside. A canopied roof covers the patio area enabling residents to enjoy refreshments outside in the summer.
The Redwood Suite
For bespoke dining in a traditional setting at West Hall, the private Redwood Suite is an intimate dining room available for hire for birthday parties and family celebrations.
Arts and crafts room
Our arts and crafts activities room has a large lantern ceiling which lets in lots of natural light. As well as being a perfect space for artistic pursuits or playing games, this room features a cookery area for people who enjoy baking.
Library and quiet room
Our library offers residents a tranquil space for reading or enjoying some quiet time. An impressive collection of books line the walls, while large windows overlooking the gardens make this a peaceful space for relaxation.
The Willow Room
A homely lounge with fireplace and comfortable seating, the Willow Room has patio doors out onto the lawn.
The inside/outside area
The inside/outside area at West Hall gives residents a taste of the outdoors within a lovely sheltered space looking onto the landscaped gardens.
