We're proud to announce seven colleagues in the North West finals for Great British Care Awards

In this year’s Great British Care Awards, we're pleased to announce that seven Anchor colleagues are in the North West regional finals.

Throughout November, regional finals will be held across the UK, with the winners advancing on to the national final at the ICC in Birmingham on March 14. 

On November 9, the regional final for the North West will be held in Manchester. Colleagues are up for awards in the following categories:

•    Care Home Worker - Shekha Mwingamno, Bank Care Assistant, Lightbowne House care home
•    Care Home Team - Widnes Hall and Dignity in Care - Angela Taker, Care Assistant, Widnes Hall care home
•    Chef - James Conroy, Chef Manager and Ancillary Worker - Jackie Baines, Administrator both from Eric Morecambe House care home 
•    The Frontline Leader - Samantha Armstrong, Home Manager, Sandstones care home
•    Co-production - Steve Vessey, District Manager

Reflecting on the success of colleagues in the region, Director of Care Services in the North Linda Green said:

I’m so proud of care colleagues across Anchor, not just the Great British Care Awards finalists who are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and serving their local communities. We’re looking forward to next month’s final in Manchester, and fingers crossed we can come home with some awards!

There are 21 categories in total at this year’s Great British Care Awards, with Anchor represented in all of them up and down the country.
