Anchor care homes recognised in carehome.co.uk top 20 for 2020 awards

Anchor Hanover has been recognised as being amongst the Top 20 recommended large care home providers by a national care website.

Carehome.co.uk named Anchor Hanover as the Top 20 Care Provider based on feedback from residents living in the not-for-profit organisation’s care homes. Also, four of our care homes won regional awards.

Northbourne in Gateshead won in the North East while Manor Court in Plymouth beat other care homes in the South West. Both homes are rated Outstanding by regulator The Care Quality Commission. Meanwhile Firth House in Selby and The Manor House Harrogate were listed in the Top 20 in the Yorkshire and Humber Region.

The results see Anchor homes go one better than 2019, when three homes took Top 20 awards.

This is the third year in a row Anchor Hanover has received a Top 20 large care home group award, having won in both 2019 and 2018. Additionally, Northbourne saw continued success having won in 2019 and it was the third award for Firth House which previously won recognition in 2018 and 2017.

The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards are based on more than 90,000 reviews over the past two years from care home residents as well as their friends and family. All four of the care homes hold a rating of more than 9.5 out of 10 on the website and have received praise for their quality of care and the dedication of their staff.
