Can I make changes to my tenancy?
Whether you are eligible to apply to make changes to your tenancy will depend on the type of tenancy you have, the terms of your tenancy agreement, if there are any outstanding tenancy breaches (for instance rent arrears) and if there has been a previous tenancy change or succession.
Our Tenancy Policy sets out when we will create joint tenancies and when we will remove joint tenants.
Can I change my tenancy from sole to joint?
If you have a sole tenancy and would like to add someone as a joint tenant, we’re here to help. We will consider applications to create a joint tenancy from spouses, civil partners, or anyone living with you in a settled relationship as if you were spouses or civil partners, family members or friends.
Can I change my joint tenancy to a sole tenancy?
If you have a joint tenancy with us and want to change this to a sole tenancy both tenants must agree to this change. If you can’t agree who should have the tenancy we recommend that you seek independent legal advice.
How will my tenancy changes in the event of a death?
We know that dealing with the death of a loved one can be difficult.
Read more about the process involved when informing us about the death of a resident named on the tenancy agreement on the Ending Your Tenancy Page.
