Rose Court residents create festive arts project
Earlier in December 2022 Rose Court care home teamed up with Art in the Park to begin a festive arts project.
Residents were involved in creating a festive mobile. The mobile was created using woven twigs that residents had decorated themselves, along with painted acorns and leaves.
The project allowed residents to spend time together during the festive season and show off their creativity. Once completed, it was displayed in the lounge to add to the festive feeling and so residents could enjoy their handiwork.
Throughout the Christmas period, residents across our locations got crafty and we even hosted a Seasonal Card Competition for those wanting to flex their creative muscles. Our craft activity pack can be found here, where you can find a cheesecake recipe and learn how to make a sock snowman and a DIY Christmas tree for Christmas 2023.
Art in the Park is a London-based charity that enriches lives and environments through the visual arts. They regularly visit Rose Court to create different art projects with residents. During the spring and summer of 2022, they created a ‘Plants of our Lives’ mural where residents contributed their own hand painted designs.
We look forward to seeing what Rose Court and Art in the Park create next - if you would like to join the team at Rose Court, check out our vacancies here.
