Hampshire Lakes Retirement Village celebrates milestone birthday
Hampshire Lakes Retirement Village in Yateley marked a significant milestone as more than 150 residents, colleagues and guests came together to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The celebrations began with a summer picnic in the village’s beautiful sensory gardens, where attendees enjoyed a delicious selection of food and refreshments. Residents, guests and Anchor colleagues also took the opportunity to reflect on the past decade, exploring a collection of photographs, memories and memorabilia that showcased Hampshire Lakes’ journey since opening its doors.
Among those joining the festivities was Yateley Deputy Mayor Pamela Phelps-Jones, who helped commemorate the special occasion.
Vic Oliver, the first resident of Hampshire Lakes retirement village, said:
Hampshire Lakes remains a very good place to live, to me the only place, it means security, comfort and companionship but above all it is ‘HOME’.
Gaye Collins, General Manager at Hampshire Lakes, said:
Hampshire Lakes is a very special place for many, for those who live here, work here and visit here. The warm, vibrant and relaxed atmosphere community is felt throughout the village and it has been our privilege in supporting the residents and helping to create this wonderful way of living. Here’s to ten more years – and beyond!
