Gaskell Court to host afternoon tea party in celebration of King’s Coronation
On Sunday, Gaskell Court in Alton will be celebrating the King’s Coronation with an afternoon tea party.
Everyone is getting into the celebratory mood at Gaskell Court, and the Royal themed window display is already looking fit for a King. They’re now just hoping for some sunny weather on Sunday so the party can be held in the garden – although they will celebrate rain or shine.
Clair Pattenden, Estate Manager at Gaskell Court, said
We are doing the Coronation as I think it is important to the residents and also as they wish to come together and take the time to reflect on the past coronations and Royal events they have been witness to.
We had a big garden party for the Jubilee, and it seems fitting to celebrate again the new King and the Coronation.
There's always plenty of tea and cake available at the location, and anyone who lives locally is welcome to join in with the celebrations and attend the afternoon tea party. If you are local to Alton, the party will start at around 2pm and you can find out more information about Gaskell Court by visiting here.
