How we celebrated the Coronation

This May we celebrated the Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort with an array of local events at our care homes and housing locations up and down the country.

Many of our residents remember the last Coronation and have enjoyed celebrating royal events all their lives so this is a very significant time for them. Recognising this, our colleagues organised lots of unique activities to make sure it was a special occasion for everyone who wished to mark it.  

Unique activities planned to engage all residents 

Our care homes and housing locations very much enjoyed preparing for the Coronation Weekend. Colleagues put their creative thinking caps on and everyone got into a celebratory mood. From tea parties and themed meals to quizzes about the monarchy, there was something for every resident to enjoy.  

We also designed an activity pack containing information about the Royal Family, details and timings for the weekend of celebrations, information on where to watch on a big screen, plus lots of other fun activities to help people celebrate.

Our care homes and housing locations shared information, photos and videos of their Coronation activities on their social media pages which were then reshared across our main Twitter and Facebook pages.
