A Morecambe care home resident has celebrated reaching 100 years of age in the company of friends and family.
Nancy Campbell has lived at Eric Morecambe House care home for seven years, and on Monday 9 March, care colleagues at the home gathered to mark the special occasion.
The day included an afternoon tea, alongside a visit from the Mayor of Lancaster, Margaret Pattison, who presented Nancy with her card from The King!
Stephanie Webster, Home Manager at Eric Morecambe House, said:
We were delighted to be able to celebrate this incredible milestone with Nancy. Reaching 100 years is a remarkable achievement, and it was an honour for all of us to share this special day with her.
Nancy was born and raised in Carlisle, alongside her two sisters. It is her twin sister Dot who Nancy has spent much of her adult life living alongside.
Previously a nanny and assistant matron, Nancy has dedicated many of her years to working with children. She is proud to be the aunt of two nieces and one nephew, and the great-aunt to another niece and nephew.
