Ceremony held to mark structural completion of Rochester Riverside
This week we celebrated the structural completion of our Rochester Riverside development in Kent delivered in partnership with award-winning housebuilder The Hill Group.
Medway Council Leader Councillor Vince Maple attended the ceremony alongside representatives from Anchor and Hill.
Victoria Mager, Director of Development Delivery at Anchor said:
The topping out at Rochester Riverside is an important milestone for both Anchor and the development.
This new community will deliver much-needed, high-quality accommodation for older people in the local area, as well as contributing to Anchor’s vision of creating 5,700 new homes over the next 10 years.
I would like to thank The Hill Group and Medway Council for their support and co-operation in helping us reach this stage.
Simon Trice, Managing Director at The Hill Group commented:
It has been excellent to work with Anchor once again to provide high quality, energy efficient new homes, local amenities, and expand the range of housing tenure available at Rochester Riverside.
Hill has worked extensively with Anchor in the past and we are proud to be their delivery partner, providing much needed homes for the local area.
Councillor Maple said:
Anchor has worked closely with the local community throughout the building of this development, which is testament to its commitment to providing homes for later living that suit the demand and changing needs of the older population in our area.
I look forward to seeing the developing relationship between Anchor and its residents and witnessing the growth of a thriving older community.
Located on Corys Road, Rochester Riverside is part of the large-scale regeneration scheme being delivered by mixed-tenure developer Countryside and housing association Hyde and will provide 101 mixed-tenure homes for people aged over 55. The development comprises various modern communal spaces including a café, landscaped gardens, and a seated patio area.
