Anchor wins Best Care Home Employer award

We are pleased to announce that we have won the Best Care Home Employer award at the London regional final of the Great British Care Awards 2023, which recognises excellence across the care sector. 

The Great British Care Awards honours individuals and organisations that have gone the extra mile to help improve the lives of residents within their care.

Judges praised Anchor as a dedicated employer with an employee first approach, committed to workplace wellbeing whilst ensuring Anchor residents receive the highest standards of care.

Having won the regional award, Anchor will now represent London in the Care Home Employer category in the national finals of the Great British Care Awards, taking place on 22 March 2024 in Birmingham.

Anchor has a consistent record of being recognised as an employer that priorities work wellbeing, providing competitive rates of pay and benefits. 

It was named as one of the top 10 organisations to work for this year at the Indeed Better Work Awards. 

Anchor is an accredited Age-Friendly and Living Wage employer, becoming the first large provider of care and housing in England in 2021 to move to paying all its colleagues, whatever their age, at or above the Living Wage Foundation’s real living wage rate.
