Introducing The Chimes in Bingley, West Yorkshire

We have officially marked completion at our new development The Chimes, located in the popular market town of Bingley.

The completion of The Chimes marks an exciting step for Anchor, aligning with our target to provide 5,700 new homes in the next 10 years. This development, located in the friendly town of Bingley, will provide quality homes for older people while fostering an open and inviting community. We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and continuing to provide places where they can love living in later life.

The Chimes in Bingley was developed in partnership with McCarthy Stone and has 59 one- and two-bedroom independent living apartments for people over 55, providing a mix of affordable rented and shared ownership properties. Residents, who will be able to move in from this summer, will benefit from a thriving community and will be able to take advantage of the development’s communal facilities including a café, beauty salon and landscaped gardens, as well as our award winning Be Well 360 service which supports residents to live a healthy, active, and connected lifestyle. 

There are also plenty of amenities to enjoy nearby from tranquil walks along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire. Bradford, Leeds, Halifax and the Yorkshire Dales are also within easy reach by public transport or car. 

We have also recently achieved practical completion at Berystede Court in Standish and are looking ahead to our new sites in Hinckley and Hook, all of which are in partnership with McCarthy and Stone. These properties will provide excellent communal facilities and our award winning Be Well 360 service, allowing residents to be supported while maintaining their independence in vibrant communities.
