Colleague wins award for incredible empathy and compassion
Tiny Cornibert, a Team Leader at Bluegrove House care home in Bermondsey, won an Anchor Colleague Award for her incredible professionalism and empathy for those in her care.
Every day, Tiny makes sure there’s something new to do at the care home and those activities are inclusive and accessible to everyone. She then makes sure the care home’s social media feeds are full of videos and photos of residents enjoying themselves. Loved ones can then follow along on social media and can see how much fun they’re having. These acts of compassion and kindness typify life at the home with Tiny on the team. This led to her nomination for a Colleague Award and subsequently winning.
Pamela Clarke-Dayes, Manager of Bluegrove House care home, was full of praise for Tiny, saying:
I’m ecstatic that Tiny has won a Colleague Award! I nominated her because she is just so committed to her work. It’s clear she loves everyone she works with, and they love her!
Tiny’s done amazing things to improve the lives of everyone at Bluegrove House. She is very dedicated and works tirelessly to keep them happy and make sure they stay active. Every time I chat to residents, relatives, and colleagues they spend half their time telling me how brilliant she is and how much they appreciate what she does.
Tiny was very touched to win the award saying:
I’m deeply honoured to have won a Colleague Award and really touched with all the lovely things people have said. I really love working at Bluegrove House. I guess that’s the secret, if you love where you work and what you do, it makes everything that much easier!
I’d like to thank my team too, they’re the best team I could ask for and make my job a breeze. Honestly, I think they deserve some of the credit for the award, I don’t know if I’d have gotten anywhere without them.
