Celebrating Chinese New Year across our locations
Across our locations we make the effort to mark and celebrate events throughout the year. It is a great opportunity for residents to get together, create memories and experience new things.
On Sunday 22 January many of our locations did something special for Chinese New Year. From serving delicious Chinese food to decorating communal areas, there was something for every resident to experience.
2023 is the Year of the Rabbit and residents at The Ridings celebrated by taking part in an arts and crafts afternoon where they created rabbit themed artwork. Similarly, residents at Trinity Lodge created a Year of the Rabbit themed banner with help from Creative Mojo. Wetherby Manor decorated its dining room with Chinese themed pieces and the residents then gathered to enjoy some Chinese food. Bluegrove House also decorated its communal space and hosted a party.
There’s always something happening across our locations to give residents the opportunity to get together and take part in fun activities. This month we’re also launching our Juice into January (#JuiceintoJanuary on social media) and Zest Zone (#ZestZone) initiatives for residents to try nutritious juices in all its forms and encourage movement.
