Special celebration as Dawson Lodge celebrates its 30th anniversary

Colleagues and residents at Dawson Lodge celebrated its 30th anniversary by hosting a celebratory barbeque. Relatives were also invited to join in with the festivities which were held in the home’s garden. 

Attendees also enjoyed entertainment by singer and dancer Ana Leon and were able to enter a tombola and raffle with all proceeds going to the residents’ amenity fund. The amenity fund is used for trips and many other special social activities for residents.

Dora Rigby, resident at Dawson Lodge care home said:

I’ve lived here for four years and it’s an amazing place with extremely helpful carers and wonderful support. I can’t imagine a better home. 

Dawson Lodge care home regularly organises a variety of activities and events for residents to suit their individual preferences and abilities. Many members of the care team have been at the care home for several years including Chef Manager Verity Sims who won our Chef of the Year competition in 2021 and Manager Mitchelle Perry who has worked at the home for 11 years. This has allowed them to form close bonds with residents and get to know their favourite meals and things to do.

It’s a privilege to be part of this incredible care home. As we all know, it’s not only about the building itself, it's our lovely team and residents who create this wonderful place. 

Everyone had a great time at the party, and it was lovely to get everyone together to celebrate!
