Bringing new homes to Woodford, Greater Manchester

We have officially commenced construction at our Woodford site. The new development will see a collection of 87 one- and two-bedroom high quality apartments and 17 two-bedroom bungalows. Sixty-six will be classed as affordable housing, with 33 of these being rented and 33 being shared ownership.

The start of construction at this exciting new development is a key step in helping Anchor to achieve its vision of creating 5,700 new homes over the next 10 years, and we are looking forward to expanding in this new location.

The site is located about five miles to the South of Stockport in a pleasant village called Woodford and forms part of a former aerodrome site covering c.500 acres of brownfield land being developed by Harrow Estates/Redrow. The site is easily accessed off a new estate road which provides vehicular and pedestrian access to the site. 

The development will include communal facilities such as a resident lounge, beautiful communal gardens, a bistro and guest suite as well as our award winning Be Well 360 programme. We will also provide a 24-hour response call system and a local manager will be on hand to provide help and support. 

The development will include 55 car parking spaces with dedicated disabled parking and electric car charging points. There are also 20 cycle spaces in the car park area. The main building and bungalows have solar roof panels and LED lighting throughout the building.
