Apprentices reach for the stars
Two apprentices, one at Beech Hall in Leeds and another at Kerria Court in Birmingham won our Apprentice of the Year and Rising Star awards respectively.
Lucie Cerna was an apprentice at Beech Hall and won our Apprentice of the Year award while Daliah Ifeanyi was an apprentice at Kerria Court and won our Rising Star award. Both beat dozens of nominees and were praised for their professionalism and maturity by a judging panel.
Lucie and Daliah were delighted to win, thanking colleagues for their support and encouragement. Both found the apprenticeship programme rewarding and learned a lot from everyone around them. Daliah is now completing her level 3 Health and Social care and Lucie is working towards level 5, leader in adult care.
Dorothy Alexander, our Apprenticeship Specialist and judge of the 2022 Apprenticeship Awards, was full of praise for the winners. She said:
They had some incredibly stiff competition in the final, but it was clear that they are great team players, demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the residents and are dedicated to their learning journeys on Anchor’s Apprenticeship programme.
Our apprenticeship scheme is open to all school leavers and provides a great entry into the care sector for those interested in a career in care. To find out more about the scheme and the Anchor Apprenticeship Awards please click here.
