Residents’ joy as zoo visits Orchard Gardens care home
Corn snakes aren’t the usual occupants of a Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke but they took up temporary residency att he home on Monday 16 April.
The animals were joined by domestic rats, tortoises and other exotic creatures when they visited the care home in Bishopstoke Park retirement village.
Home Manager Tracy Hibberd said the zoo visit is part of Anchor’s ongoing programme of interesting activities which aim to stimulate the residents physically and mentally.
She said: “We wanted to organise something different for our residents. Such events are a great occasion for them to socialise with friends and their families and to try out new things.”
