Pride of Britain winner Ella Chadwick filmed by Good Morning Britain visiting Lightbowne Hall care home
Residents at Anchor Hanover’s Lightbowne Hall care home in Manchester have enjoyed a special visit from Pride of Britain winner Ella Chadwick in the run up to Christmas.
Staff at Lightbowne Hall organised for 11-year old Ella, who won a Child Of Courage award at this year’s Pride Of Britain Awards ceremony in October, to visit the home where her cousin Rebecca Mardy works as part of their festive celebrations.
Ella’s visit to Lightbowne Hall featured on ITV’s Good Morning Britain this morning, and showed her giving the residents handmade Christmas cards and mince pies.
Care Home Manager Victor Phiri said: “We were so pleased to have Ella come and visit us. She is a lovely little girl who has done a great deal to raise money for charity. All the residents very much enjoyed meeting and spending time with her.
“It was also great for the Good Morning Britain film crew to see first-hand how much fun our residents have and what a lovely place it is to work.
“Christmas is always a great time of year here at Lightbowne Hall. The whole team enjoy organising a variety of festive activities for residents. Ella’s visit was certainly a highlight that brought a smile to everyone’s face – thank you Ella. We hope you will visit again soon.”
