Hatton Grange residential care home in Hyde offers first-class residential care and facilities with en-suite rooms for up to 70 residents, in a light, spacious and elegant surroundings.

At Anchor, we have a long history of caring for older people and we put our residents at the heart of everything we do. In times of uncertainty, Anchor is a care provider you can depend on. We are proudly not-for-profit with 60 years of experience. Hatton Grange is the result of this approach, carefully conceived with all our experience and passion, to meet the needs and expectations of the next generation of older people.

Our dedicated service, combined with Hatton Grange's environment and facilities, allow our residents to live a full, rich and meaningful life in the company of supportive, like-minded people.

We also offer respite care at Hatton Grange so if you are thinking about going away, but worried about your loved one we can offer a helping hand.

My mum's experience at Hatton Grange care home has been here 18 months now and we have not had a single complaint! It is a modern, clean and comfortable place with a really happy atmosphere. Most of the time my mum thinks she's on holiday so I couldn't ask for better than that. All the staff are friendly, happy and welcoming to both residents and … visitors and this is what makes it a place where my mum wants to be and I like to visit.

Margaret has been a resident at Hatton Grange for 5 years next month. She is going to be 104 in August. The care she has had for all the years and continues to be is exemplary. That care is not just physical, because she is unable to walk, but the love and kindness that she receives is very much appreciated by her family. Also the management of t… he home is excellent.

My mum is new to the care home but excellent first impressions. Hatton Grange is clean and tidy and I brought some of my mum's pictures and bedding to make her bedroom more like home. All the staff I have met are friendly and approachable. There is a good choice of food and Mum is eating more now. There are several floors, with each floor having it… s own sitting and dining room, so there are small groups to manage. My mum is at risk of falling, so they check through the night but there is also a sensor in her bedroom which shows movement for added protection. Helps put my mind at rest.

From the moment mum arrived at Hatton Grange, the team have been very welcoming and supportive. Moving her into care was a big step for us, but the warmth and care from all of the staff has reassured us that she is in the best possible hands. Mum has been a resident for three and half months and in that time we have noticed she is more relaxed and seems happy here. All staff are approachable and helpful and work hard with activities for residents. There appears to be a regular relatives meeting, which I am hoping to attend next time. There are two therapy dogs which I think is a great i… dea for the residents to pet, as it feels like a homely place. Overall we are happy and fortunate we found a care home that suits Mum's needs.

You’ll always find plenty to do at Hatton Grange, with a host of daily leisure activities for you to take part in.

Quiet areas and spacious en-suite rooms ensure peace and privacy when you want it. We adopt a ‘pets welcome’ policy by arrangement with the home manager.

Lounges, quiet spaces and hair and beauty salon are all at hand. On warm days take a stroll in the landscaped gardens and enjoy the peaceful setting. Or simply enjoy a break at one of the outdoor seating areas.

Hatton Grange is close to local shops and Hyde town centre. There are also a wide range of local amenities close by including:

At Hatton Grange we make the most of meal times. Anchor has won national recognition for the quality of its food and catering service. And with dining areas on each floor, you don’t have far to go to enjoy each mealtime. All our menus offer freshly cooked, wholesome, appetising and nutritionally balanced food with a different choice every day. We’ll get to know your likes and dislikes, catering for any special dietary requirements so that you enjoy all of the meals we serve.

With social events in the home and the local community, arranged in collaboration with residents, you can make your life at Hatton Grange a hive of activity or as gentle as you wish.
We understand that the activities people carry out in their free time are often the things that they most look forward to and enjoy. Our hobbies and interests are individual to us, they shape the person we are and help to paint a picture of the way we like to live our lives.

At Hatton Grange care home a line-up of meaningful activities are planned regularly. From cake baking and quizes, to arts and crafts and gardening activities, there is always lot to enjoy at our home.

Activities, interests and ability are discussed when you move in and a stimulating events and activities calendar is organised to match individual residents’ interests and needs. We encourage a variety of hobbies and work in partnership with the National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People (NAPA) to ensure our range of activities enhance residents’ lifestyle, health and sense of wellbeing.

We know how important it is to maintain close bonds with the people in your life. At Hatton Grange, your visitors are always welcome at any time, including mealtimes. We also encourage you to maintain links with the wider community and come and go as you please.

Health

Because each of us is unique, we encourage you to choose how your care is planned and delivered at Hatton Grange. We work closely with you and your family, to build a personal picture of your needs. Little things can make a big difference, so we always strive to understand what is important to you. We call it person centred care because it’s built around you or your loved one. It’s there to help you settle in really quickly, with regular reviews to keep things up-to-date.

Dedicated staff ensure care, support and understanding is tailored to your exact needs. They will ensure that you continue to enjoy maximum independence and 24-hour peace of mind, knowing that all the help and assistance you might need is always at hand. All carers employed by Anchor are given intensive training and are required to complete NVQ qualifications and a range of in-house courses to assure you of the best possible care.

We provide high quality care and support for residents living with dementia by treating them as individuals. All of our employees are trained to ensure residents feel valued and able to live life to the full. Ever ready to offer support to family and friends via access to information and advice, their approach respects the uniqueness of each person rather than focusing on the diagnosis of dementia.

How much does it cost?

Care homes

Our current private weekly fee at Hatton Grange is from £1,000. This can vary due to resident dependency, size of room and location. Our Home Manager and other colleagues will be happy to discuss fees and any other questions you may have about paying for care.

What is included in care home fees?

For many people, moving to a care home is a big decision and it can be difficult to know where to start. Care home fees are based on a range of factors, including specific care needs, which can change over time.

Living in an Anchor care home you can be confident that a single fee covers the cost of your personally tailored 24 hour care and support, utility bills and meals, as well as a fantastic range of daily activities. In an Anchor care home our weekly charge includes:
- cost of personal care
- accommodation
- utilities e.g. heating and light
- all resident catering, meals, snacks and drinks
- laundry undertaken on the premises
- television licence, including for person use
- housekeeping services.

The following extra items and services are not covered by the weekly fees, however we can arrange for them to be provided (at an additional cost):
- professional hairdressing
- personal copies of newspapers or magazines
- personal purchases such as stationery, confectionery, toiletries etc.
- clothing, shoes and slippers
- dry cleaning
- private telephone line rental and calls and cable connections.

In the absence of free provision by the NHS, we can also arrange for the following healthcare services to be provided, these will be charged in addition to the weekly fees:
- chiropody
- optometry
- dentistry
- physiotherapy
- other privately arranged healthcare
- care staff accompaniment to regular medical appointments.

No upfront deposit is required at any of Anchor’s care homes to secure a room.

At Anchor we pride ourselves on offering a truly tailored approach to care and therefore need to fully understand your needs to provide you with an accurate fee estimate. Welcoming you

To start your enquiry simply click 'Enquire now' at the top of the page and either call us or complete an online enquiry form.

We’ll provide you with full details of the home, along with any other information you’d like, such as sample menus and activity schedules.

Whether you’re looking to stay with us permanently, or for a short break, we’d be delighted to take you on a show round of the home in person. Simply book a visit with the home manager once you’ve made your enquiry.

If you or your loved one doesn’t live nearby or are unable to visit in person we can provide a virtual show round. Either way, we’re keen to show you what daily life is like here and for you to meet our friendly team.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

Our friendly onsite team will discuss every area of moving-in with you in detail to make sure you and your loved-one know exactly what to expect and feel confident, safe and welcomed when coming to live with us.

Before you move in, we will find out if there are any of your possessions that you wish us to place in your room before you arrive. Please bring your family photographs and most treasured possessions to help make your room your home.
