Over £500 raised by Orchard Gardens care assistant
A brave care assistant from Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke has raised over £500 by having her head shaved.
Gen Lethbidge from Anchor’s Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke Park offered to take part in a sponsored head shave on 30 May to help raise money for the home’s amenities fund, which is used to take residents on outings and organise entertainment within the home.
Gen came up with the wonderful idea and approached the Home Manager Tracy Hibberd last month.
Gen’s head was shaved by Team Leader Sarah Bailey, a former hairdresser, at the home as residents and colleagues watched on in awe.
