A brave Care Assistant from Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke is taking part in a sponsored head shave to raise money for the residents’ amenities fund.
Gen Lethbidge from Anchor’s Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke Park has organised the event on 30 May, to help raise money for the amenities fund, which is used to take residents on outings and organise entertainment within the home.
Orchard Gardens Manager Tracy Hibberd said: “We wanted to raise money for our residents’ amenities fund so when Gen approached me her unique fundraising plan, I thought it was a wonderful idea and something which will benefit all the residents within the home!
One of our Team Leaders, Sarah Bailey, happens to be a former hairdresser so she will be responsible for handling the clippers on the day.”
