July Resident Involvement updates
Read about some of the most recent actions and improvements driven by our the resident involvement groups.
Highlights
- Resident Non-Executive Director - applications have now closed for this position. A shortlist is being drawn up, with interviews being held in the next few weeks. This is an exciting step forward to make residents have a clear voice in the operations of the Board
- We've been working on a new engagement plan to improve things that are important to Anchor residents. We've made sure these have resident representation by assigning items to relevant involvement groups.
- In May, the Residents' Council met with the Board in the London office. The Council had their usual meeting (they meet every six weeks) and then joined the Board, where they discussed repairs and planned works, as well as the local manager service to champion what matters to residents.
Members found the day useful:
I found the day well worth the effort.
The Residents' Council and Board got to understand each other better.
Coming up

- The new Regional Head of Housing for the Central region will be attending all the Residents' Communications group meetings, along with the Head of Internal Communications. This will help ensure the group are speaking to the relevant Anchor senior management regarding improving communication. The group meets every six weeks
