Join our Virtual Book Club – with special guest authors!
Do you enjoy a good story, lively discussion, and the chance to meet the people behind the books? Then why not join our Virtual Book Club?
We meet once a month on a Tuesday at 1.30pm via Microsoft Teams, and it’s a relaxed, friendly group where residents come together to share thoughts, ideas and, of course, a love of reading. Best of all, you get to choose the books we read.
And this autumn, we’ve got something extra special lined up, two brilliant authors will be joining us to talk about their newly published novels!
Tuesday 28 October (1.30pm) – Meet Mario Ambrosi
We’re delighted to welcome Mario Ambrosi, Anchor’s very own Director of Communications & Marketing, who will be introducing his debut children’s mystery: Scarlett Buckling and the Case of the Missing Pictures.
Twelve-year-old Scarlett loves a detective story, but when her beloved Gran goes missing in the night, Scarlett and her best friend Bournemouth find themselves solving a real-life case full of twists, secrets and a race against time. It’s a heartwarming, page-turning story about family, memory and courage.
Tuesday 25 November (1.30pm) – Meet Jess Kitching
Next up, we’ll be joined by Jess Kitching, author of the much-anticipated novel The Life Experiment, a moving and thought-provoking love story.
What would you do if you knew exactly how long you had left to live? That’s the question facing Layla and Angus when they join an experiment that predicts the day of their death. Their chance encounter sets off an unforgettable journey of love, hope and what it truly means to live. Perfect for fans of Beth O’Leary, David Nicholls and Matt Haig.
