Celebrating five years of Be Well
Five years ago, during the global pandemic, the Be Well programme was born from a simple yet powerful idea to provide mental and physical wellbeing of our residents. What started as a series of virtual coffee mornings has blossomed into a thriving community. As we celebrate this milestone, we're filled with gratitude for the journey we've shared.
Our virtual coffee mornings, which began in October 2020, have become a cornerstone of the Be Well programme. With over 1,339 interactions, these Tuesday morning gatherings at 11am are a testament to the power of connection. They've provided a space for residents to share stories, offer support, and simply enjoy a cup of coffee with a friendly face, all from the comfort of their homes.
As the Be Well programme evolved, we were incredibly fortunate to partner with Mr Terry Keen, an Anchor resident and a former professional fitness instructor. Terry's passion and expertise were instrumental in developing our exercise programme. He not only created engaging workout routines but also dedicated his time to producing a series of instructional videos, which are now available on our YouTube and video channels. Terry's commitment to our residents' physical well-being has been a true inspiration.
Could you be our bingo champion?
To mark our 5th anniversary, we're inviting you to join in the fun with a special Be Well Bingo competition!
We've created bingo cards with a twist. For every virtual Be Well initiative you participate in throughout October, you can dab off a square.
Get a line and you'll be entered into a draw for a prize. Achieve a full house and you'll be in the running for an even bigger prize! The competition runs from 1st October to 31st October, and winners will be announced in November.

Whether you're a long-time participant or new to the Be Well community, we encourage you to join us. Our diverse range of virtual activities includes live exercise classes, a virtual book club, digital learning sessions, and much more. If you're unsure where to start, why not drop into an event for just five minutes to get a feel for what we offer? There's truly something for everyone.
