Celebrate someone special – nominations open 1 June to 31 July 2026

Every Anchor location has people who make life brighter, the neighbours who check in, the friends who listen, the helpers, the gardeners, the fundraisers, and even the pets who bring joy to the everyday.

The Loving Later Life Awards 2026 are your chance to recognise them. Working closely with residents from our Communications Group, we’ve refreshed the award categories based on feedback shared earlier this year. The new and refreshed categories reflect the many ways residents support one another, get involved, and help their communities thrive.

Each nominee will also be entered into a prize draw for a £100 Love2Shop voucher, a simple way to show appreciation for everything they do. If someone has made a difference in your life, this is your opportunity to say thank you. 

2026 award categories

Helpful Hero

For someone whose kindness, encouragement or practical help makes a real difference to others.

Amazing Ally

For a resident who promotes inclusion, fairness and respect, helping everyone feel welcome and valued.

Involvement Icon/Resident Voice Champion

For someone who plays an active role in formal resident groups and helps represent the views of others.

Neighbour Like No Other

For a neighbour who goes above and beyond, offering friendship, support or simply a reliable, friendly presence.

Local Legend

For a whole location that stands out in its local area as welcoming, supportive, lively or special in its own unique way.

Environmental Champion

For someone who takes positive action to protect the environment, from recycling to eco friendly ideas.

Fabulous Fundraiser

For a resident who puts effort and heart into raising money for causes that matter.

Bloomin’ Marvellous Gardener

For the resident or location that brings gardens and outdoor spaces to life, creating something beautiful for others to enjoy.

Pawsome Pet

For a much loved pet who brings comfort, companionship and smiles to the community.

How to nominate

Nominations are open from 1 June to 31 July 2026. Residents, colleagues, and family members can all nominate a resident.

You can submit your nomination by:

• Emailing [email protected] with details of your nomination and the nominee

You are welcome to nominate more than one person or pet. 

Virtual awards ceremony

Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony in September - a celebration of the people and pets who help make later life at Anchor truly special.
