Skelton Court invite the community to enjoy Sunday lunch together
Anchor’s newly opened care home, Skelton Court in Skelton-in-Cleveland, is inviting local older people to come and enjoy a delicious home cooked Sunday lunch with the residents and staff.
Skelton Court Manager Beverley Grimes explains why the home is launching the weekly event:
Sunday lunch is a special meal for a lot of people, a time when they come together with friends and family. We want to extend an invitation to our older neighbours to come and enjoy a fresh, warm, home-cooked meal and some friendly company with us here at Skelton Court.
Our home is a new addition to the local community and we are looking forward to getting to know our neighbours and being involved in local life.
We know that isolation and loneliness are serious issues faced by older people in all communities. As well as a tasty meal, from June our Sunday lunches will also be an informal and relaxed opportunity for people to spend time socialising with others in a welcoming environment.
Skelton Court opened in March this year, as part of Anchor’s growth strategy to create more and better homes where people can love living in later life.
The contemporary home is set in beautiful surroundings close to the coast at Saltburn-by-the-Sea and equipped with an array of modern facilities including a hairdressing and beauty salon, bar area and private landscaped gardens.
If you would like to join Skelton Court for lunch call the home directly on 01287 726 980 to reserve your place, booking is essential.
