Residents from across Anchor recently came together to talk about what helps communities feel welcoming, inclusive and safe. People who took part described the session as friendly, respectful and well run, and said they felt comfortable sharing their views.
The conversation focused on inclusion and psychological safety, exploring how everyday actions and small signals can help people feel they truly belong. Residents also spoke about the importance of lived experience and learning from one another.
Many valued the opportunity to listen, share and hear different perspectives, with discussion flowing naturally throughout. Overall, the session was described as interesting, positive and thought provoking, reinforcing that welcoming communities grow through kindness, understanding and looking out for one another.
