Year of Musical Expression

Music has long been recognised as a powerful tool for improving mental wellbeing, offering numerous benefits for individuals of all ages, particularly older adults. Engaging in musical activities, such as singing or listening to music, can reduce stress, enhance mood, and even improve cognitive function. We have created a fun activity pack to celebrate our campaign this year, Year of Musical Expression and would invite you to request a copy.

• Our virtual Together Choir/new movement to music exercise class details
• Opportunities to share your musical hobbies and interests with us
• Links to the BBC Music Rewind/Reminiscence Archive

Virtual Coffee Mornings

Our virtual coffee mornings give you the opportunity to speak to other residents across the country and hear from a variety of guest speakers.

Coffee mornings take place every Tuesday at 11am on Microsoft Teams. 

In today’s busy world, staying connected is more important than ever, and virtual coffee mornings offer an opportunity to do just that. These informal gatherings provide a relaxed and inclusive space to enjoy meaningful conversations, build relationships, and take a break - all from the comfort of your own home. Residents can suggest speakers on subjects they’d like to hear about and as a result the recent guest speakers have been varied, from charitable organisations to fun arts and crafts activities. Whether you’re looking to network, learn something new, or simply enjoy a moment of connection, there’s something for everyone. Join us, sip your favourite brew and be part of a vibrant community!

Q&A sessions

Residents and colleagues are invited to join the Be Well team for a monthly Questions & Answers  session on Microsoft Teams giving you a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the Be Well services we offer, and discover how we can support resident wellbeing. 

Whether you’re curious about our initiatives, resources, want to provide suggestions for additional initiatives, feedback or just want to know how to get involved, we’re here to provide answers and insights.
