Resident involvement update - August 2026
July was another busy month for resident involvement at Anchor.
Involved residents took part in a session to discuss Anchor’s plans for the future. We’ll be sharing more about this and asking for your feedback later this year in Life, our resident magazine.
The Residents’ Property, Safety and Quality Group discussed health and safety compliance, repairs performance and planned works. The group also received updates on repairs improvement work.
The Residents’ Complaints Group looked at what Anchor is changing as a result of feedback from complaints and how lessons learned are helping to improve services. The group also reviewed complaints performance and recent findings from the Housing Ombudsman, helping to identify trends and influence improvements across Anchor.
Looking ahead, the Residents’ Council, Scrutiny Panel and Residents’ Communications Group will also be meeting. The Residents’ Council will be discussing how resident voices are represented within Anchor’s governance arrangements, as well as receiving updates on the ongoing Change programme.
Across all our groups, residents continue to provide valuable insight and challenge, helping to improve services and ensure residents' views influence decisions across the organisation. At the end of each group meeting, members are asked to highlight any issues they wish to escalate to the Residents’ Council. The Council meets regularly with the Chief Executive and Board members, providing a direct link between residents and the people responsible for making key decisions at Anchor.
Just to remind you, the Residents’ Council is currently looking for two residents to take on the voluntary roles of Wellbeing Lead and Anti-Social Behaviour Lead. Please get in touch if you are interested in finding out more. If you’d like to get more involved and share your feedback, email [email protected] or speak to your location manager.
