Getting to know you better

At Anchor, we help people enjoy later life and the more we know about you, the better we can support you. That’s why we’re taking the time to get to know you and the people who live in your home. 

From October 2025, we will be in touch with residents to ask you a few questions and update the personal details we hold about you. This may include sensitive details, such as health information or diversity data, but only so that we can understand your needs more clearly.

Why we are asking:

• Personalised support: When we understand you and your household better, we can adapt our services. That can include safety considerations, or adjustments, such as large print alternatives.
• Fairness and inclusion: Diversity information helps us make sure our services are fair, welcoming and accessible to everyone
• Meeting our responsibilities: As a social housing provider, we are required to collect certain information to meet regulatory and legal responsibilities
• Improving services: Understanding the needs of all our residents helps us plan improvements and ensure resources are directed where they are most needed.

How we will look after your information

• We will keep your information safe and confidential
• We will never share your details with anyone else without your permission, unless the law requires us to
• You can choose not to provide certain details, though it may limit how well we can tailor our services to you.   

What happens next?

Over the coming weeks, your location manager (where you have one) will be in touch. We may also reach out to you by telephone. If you would prefer to fill this information in yourself, please let us know and we can provide you with a form to do so.
