Anchor manages more than 400 purpose-built leasehold retirement developments, all designed to meet your needs, both now and into the future.

Ranging from quiet cul-de-sacs to award-winning estates with first-class facilities and a real sense of community, each Anchor retirement development is unique. They all however, share the same high standard of construction, responsive management and total commitment to quality customer service.

Room to entertain friends

To complement each private residence, all of our retirement developments offer some shared facilities for the use and enjoyment of all residents, these can include attractive landscaped gardens, communal lounges for social activities and events, conservatory areas and laundry rooms.

In our retirement estates that have a manager’s office, you will also be able to enjoy access to the internet via our Wi-Fi network in the communal areas, allowing you to browse the web on your own device in areas such as the shared lounge.

In our range of newer independent living developments, the first-class communal facilities are even more extensive and, while varying between developments, can include:

• Contemporary cafes, serving drinks and snacks
• Large and elegantly furnished residents lounges
• Wellness suites featuring hair salons and fully equipped treatment rooms
• Private cinema screening rooms
• Roof terraces

Well built homes

Always looking to the future, all Anchor’s newly built retirement properties for sale are built to NHBC (National House Building Council) standards and upon completion are issued with a NHBC certificate and associated 10 year warranty.

In buying an Anchor retirement property you can be confident you are buying a comfortable, attractive home, built and maintained to the highest standard. 

24-hour peace of mind

An experienced resident or visiting estate manager supports each Anchor retirement development. They oversee the properties and are there to provide as much or as little advice as you would like. 

In addition to our estate managers, 24-hour support is provided for homeowners through Anchor on Call; an emergency call telephone alarm system installed in your new home. We understand that maintaining your independence is important and have ensured that the support we offer is discreet and designed to provide peace of mind for you and your family. Anchor on Call will allow you to call for help should you ever need it, whether that be help summoning emergency services assistance, an emergency repair or advice and reassurance.

Anchor on Call is monitored by our friendly, well trained staff, who have immediate access to all customers' details and can respond quickly and appropriately 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

More support when you need it

Some Anchor retirement estates and developments also offer extra support from trained care staff. This varies between developments but can include a wide range of domestic and practical support.
