Welcome to Parkside Court rented housing with extra care

At Parkside Court rented housing with extra care in Thornaby we offer 48 two bedroom purpose-built flats and bungalows for rent for people over the age of 55. We also offer on-site support from trained care staff.

The property is situated close to Thornaby and has excellent transport links to the town centres of Stockton-On-Tees and Middlesbrough. The local shops are within walking distance, and include supermarkets, a hairdresser, cafes, a sports hall, a library and a florist. There are two doctors' surgeries within walking distance and there is a good regular bus service to the town centre. Other local amenities include a cinema, a bowling alley and restaurants.

We understand that sometimes you like to be alone and at other times you may want to be more sociable. Our properties give you that freedom. At Parkside Court we hold regular coffee mornings and bingo twice weekly. The manager also arranges an entertainment afternoon every month usually either a quiz or singer with snacks. Seasonal activities and events to commemorate special occasions also take place. Parkside Court has a Lunch Club Monday to Friday with set menu or other choices available at various costs. The lounge is used daily by residents in the afternoon where you can have a natter or bring your knitting along, there are lots of crafts available for residents use and residents and their families are always welcome to facilitate any activities they would like to participate in.

You will not need to worry about maintenance and repairs or gardening upkeep as we take care of those. We provide a wide range of facilities, including a communal lounge, a luncheon club held from Monday to Friday, a garden with seating area, an on-site laundry and 10 parking spaces.

On-site care provision at Parkside Court is local authority approved and funded (subject to financial assessment).

A local manager is based on site to provide peace of mind when it comes to maintaining your home and managing your tenancy. You’ll also find active links with the local community that promote socialisation, including specialised interest groups and services.

How much does it cost?

Properties for rent

Your monthly fee will range from £730.05 and normally includes your rent, service charge and water rates.

What is included in rental fees?

Our service charge covers all the cost of amenities you share with your neighbours, including the scheme manager service, our 24-hour emergency call service (Anchor on Call), repairs and maintenance, window cleaning, gardening and the cleaning of communal areas.

Your local council will be able to advise you about getting help paying your rent and service charge through housing benefit. They will also be able to tell you if they will be paying grant to us to meet or contribute towards the support cost elements of our services to you.
