My parent has been living in Layston Grove for over 6 years now. I had to write a review as I wanted to assist other families who are in the process of finding g a home for their relative to move into, I appreciate how this decision is so difficult and so important. My parent being at Layston Grove for over 6 years speaks volumes. There is no way m… y mum would still be there if she wasn't receiving the FABULOUS and AMAZING care she receives. This is an amazing care home. Always very clean and well kept, there is always plenty to choose from on the menu as well as plenty of additional food options throughout the day. The kitchen have bent over backwards to ensure my mum has the food she desires. The secret weapon of Layston Grove who endure the success of this home are the staff. The team are second to none, from the maintenance guy to the kitchen to to the laundry and housekeeping teams to the front of house, to the Msnsgement and especially the care team. Simply FIRST CLASS.

My husband has been in Layston for a few weeks and I am very pleased with the level of care. The rooms are clean and well kept. The carers are lovely and genuinely care how the residents are looked after. Although he has dementia, my husband seems to like being at the home. The residents are not left in their rooms for long periods of time and are … encouraged to take part in the many activities. I was very worried about leaving my husband in a care home, but was finding it increasingly difficult to look after him at home. It has been a huge relief to find somewhere where I feel I can trust that he will be looked after properly.

One week free Autumn Winter offer

One week free Autumn Winter offer

We are offering you an opportunity to receive one week free when you move into one of our participating care homes on a short stay or permanent basis.

Terms & conditions apply

Welcoming you

We are currently offering you an opportunity to receive one week free when you move into one of our participating care homes on a short stay or permanent basis. Click here to find out more and read the full details of the terms and conditions of this offer.

We pride ourselves on making sure we understand your loved one – their likes and dislikes, hopes and passions – so you can be sure they enjoy a special and lasting welcome at Anchor. Because your loved ones are our loved ones.

To start your enquiry simply click 'Enquire now' at the top of the page and either call us or complete an online enquiry form.

We know only too well how daunting and emotional the decisions are for everyone when considering care, which is why our team are here to help every step of the way.

We’ll provide you with full details of the home, along with any other information you’d like, such as sample menus and activity schedules, as well as explain how you can arrange a viewing.

Whether you’re looking to stay with us permanently, or for a short break, we’d be delighted to take you on a show round of the home in person. Simply book a visit with the home manager once you’ve made your enquiry.

If you or your loved one doesn’t live nearby or are unable to visit in person we can provide a virtual show round. Either way, we’re keen to show you what daily life is like here and for you to meet our friendly team.

We hope you decide, following your visit, that you or your loved one would like to move into the home, in which case we’ll organise a pre-assessment to make sure we can meet all your care needs.

You may already have had a care needs assessment from the local authority and have a care plan in place which can be a useful starting point for our conversations, so we will ask about these. Our pre-assessment is a chance for us to find out more about you, the challenges you face and the way you like to live your life. It's a conversation about how our team could work with you to support your needs, independence, and wellbeing.

Once you are confident in your choice of new home, our friendly onsite teams will discuss every aspect of moving-in with you in detail to make sure you know exactly what to expect.

This way you can feel confident, safe and welcomed in the knowledge that you or your loved one will be happy and supported in your new home.

Before you move in, we will find out if there are any of your possessions that you wish us to place in your room before you arrive. Please bring your family photographs and most treasured possessions to help make your room your home.

Our care homes are dedicated to helping our residents maintain links in the local area and with their loved ones. We understand how important visits are to help your loved one settle in and we welcome regular visits from family and friends.

We also actively support residents living with us to enjoy visits away from their new home into the local area and to nearby places of interest.

Each of our homes is different and the manager of the care home you’re interested in will provide all the information you need around visiting.
