At Hanover Court housing to rent for over 55s, we offer 24 one bedroom apartments and 1 three bedroom house. Also known as retirement housing, sheltered housing and independent living, Hanover Court welcomes anyone aged 55 or over whether you're retired or not.
We understand that sometimes you'll prefer to be alone and at other times you may want to be more sociable. Our properties give you that freedom. At Hanover Court we run social activities including coffee mornings, providing an opportunity to meet with other residents.
You won't need to worry about maintenance and repairs or gardening upkeep as we take care of these. You'll find a wide range of facilities - including a communal lounge, tea bar, hairdressing room and guest room. You'll also have access to freshly-prepared midday meals in the on-site restaurant.

All our properties are self-contained, with their own front door, offering the privacy and independence you expect. Your home will have a bathroom, kitchen with fully-fitted cupboards, ample storage space, lounge and bedroom areas. You'll find it easy to maintain, and you'll have the freedom to decorate and furnish it as you wish.
Many who live in our properties arrange broadband and digital or satellite TV and most properties already have a telephone point installed ready for your own private telephone line.
For added peace of mind, each of our properties are also fitted with a 24-hour emergency call and secure door entry system.

Our rented housing locations plan and organise a wide range of activities and events tailored to the interests of the people living in them, which change on a regular basis. Events are varied and many of our locations choose to set up social committees to include everyone in the planning of communal events and activities.

How much does it cost?
Properties for rent

What is included in rental fees?
Anchor offer affordable rent on all our housing properties. Our service charge covers the cost of all amenities you share with your neighbours, including the location manager service, our 24-hour emergency call service (Anchor on Call), repairs and maintenance, window cleaning, gardening and the cleaning of communal areas.
Your local council will be able to advise you about getting help paying your rent and service charge through housing benefit. They will also be able to tell you if they will be paying a grant to us to meet or contribute towards the support cost elements of our services to you.
