5 Stars - A Truly Special Celebration at Ashcroft! We recently celebrated my mum's 70th birthday at Ashcroft, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The staff went above and beyond to make everything feel personal, thoughtful, and full of love. From the decorations to the food, to the gentle caring way they look after my mum,… it was all handled with such warmth and kindness. My mum was absolutely beaming - she felt so special and truly celebrated. It meant the world to us to see her surrounded by people who clearly care so much for her. Although my mum has been a resident for a relatively short period of time, Ashcroft has always been a wonderful place, but this party really showed how deeply they value the people in their care. Thank you for making Mum's 70th so memorable, we'll treasure it always! x

The care and love shown to mum was lovely and reassuring that she was being well looked after. All the staff worked together as a team, always having a ready smile. Mum was only there for a few weeks because her health was in decline. The staff were brilliant ensuring she had everything she needed to keep her comfortable, clean, nicely fed and lo… ts of company and chats. We visited often, as her health deteriorated and were always welcome. Observing staff interactions with other residents was reassuring too. Everyone was treated as a valued individual.

I am really pleased with the staff, they have made my husband settle in and he has settled in faster than we expected. The home is very clean and smells nice. We are pleased with his bedroom especially the garden view. I stay for my lunch three times a week and the food is excellent.

My mum was a resident in Ashcroft for 3 years. She had several medical conditions including vascular dementia and at times could be difficult. During her stay at Ashcroft, the staff from carers to domestics were amazing, treating Mum with respect at all times. She was given encouragement to join in activities giving her some purpose. When Mum passe… d away in Ashcroft the love and support shown to us as a family was outstanding. I can't thank the team enough. They became like a family to us. I would highly recommend Ashcroft to anyone looking for a care facility for a loved one.

Mum has been there for 4 weeks now and every time we visit staff are friendly and helpful. Always ready to answer questions if we have any or point us to the right person who can help. All interaction has been kind and respectful whilst maintaining a good sense of humour, they have found the right level of interaction with mum and have good 'banter… '.

- personal copies of newspapers or magazines
- personal purchases such as stationery, confectionery, toiletries etc.
- clothing, shoes and slippers
- dry cleaning

In the absence of free provision by the NHS, we can also arrange for the following healthcare services to be provided, these will be charged in addition to the weekly fees:
- chiropody
- optometry
- dentistry
- physiotherapy
- other privately arranged healthcare
- care staff accompaniment to regular medical appointments.

No upfront deposit is required at any of Anchor’s care homes to secure a room.

I would like to say a huge thank you to you and all your staff. They have been wonderful to my Auntie, I know they all work extremely hard and have given love and attention to Auntie. She used to tell me how much she loved you all because you looked after her so well and she loved her room, it was the best room in the home. You all deserve a medal, I certainly had a weight lifted from my shoulders the day she came to you. Once again thank you all.

Muriel - May 2018

Thank you all for everything you did for my uncle. I believe you provided the best care for him in his final years. The way you compassionately dealt with his problems is really appreciated. I am so glad that he was able to experience that semi-independent living at Ashcroft and we will be forever grateful for this dignity that Eddie was able to experience.
