The right people
We are very proud of the caring team of professionals working across Anchor care homes.
Dedicated to delivering personally tailored care, our staff are passionate about what they do and specially selected for their personal qualities, such as being instinctively warm with a natural desire to help. We know it’s the small things, like taking time to have a friendly chat, reminisce or share a joke, that can make a big difference.
All our specially chosen staff are given intensive training and are required to complete QCF (Quality Care Framework) qualifications, as well as a range of in-house courses to ensure all residents receive the best possible care.

Our residential care model is based around three core principles for residents: opportunity, choice and wellbeing. We achieve this through our carers who work more like companions to residents. Carers are encouraged to take the initiative and get to understand the holistic needs and desires of residents through conversation and active listening. The ability to facilitate and create independence within personal limitations is vital to ensuring residents are empowered to take control of their life decisions.
We also pride ourselves on having higher than average staff to resident ratios, for residents this means they have the same team of carers supporting them every day, rather than lots of different members of staff.
But an Anchor care home is a community made up of more than just the people delivering personal care. In each of our care homes all members of the team, from the housekeeping staff, to the catering team and the administrators, are familiar faces, focused on ensuring all residents feel comfortable and confident that they can rely on a friendly face and helping hand 24-hours a day.
You and your loved ones can rest assured that our across our homes our residential care is delivered by well qualified, welcoming, and caring professional staff.
