Orchard Gardens care home goes all out for Valentine’s Day Disco

Orchard Gardens care home was decked out in Valentine’s decorations and bunting for an extra disco on Sunday 14th February. 

Residents and staff from Orchard Gardens were transported back in time to the dance hall era for a disco and dance. The lounge was decorated with Valentine’s themed garlands and table settings, and residents enjoyed snacks and drinks whilst dancing to their favourite tunes.

Orchard Gardens Manager, Tracy Hibberd said the Valentine’s party was part of a packed programme of activities at the care home. She said: 

We put on a lot of themed activities here because the residents really enjoy them. It’s important to offer interesting events which stimulate the residents mentally and physically, as well as it being fun! The party is part of Orchard Gardens ongoing programme of interesting activities which aim to stimulate the residents physically and mentally. Such events are also a great occasion for residents to socialise.
