We really want to be able to grow the vegetables, and when they are ripe, we can ask the kitchen to cook us something nice to eat knowing we were the ones who grew the ingredients.
Doris of Fred Tibble Court added that:
I had lost interest in the garden because I was the only one working to make it nice but since the gardening club has started, I have a new reason to get out in the fresh air and get my hands dirty.
She also shared her top gardening tip:
Always remove the heads off the flowers when they die, as this allows the new shoots to come through healthy and have a better chance.
We can't wait to see the garden blooming and new friendships blossoming as residents work together to grow their own fruits and vegetables and cultivate a beautiful and vibrant garden.
