Ferendune Court care home partners with local schools for Santagram project
Ferendune Court care home recently partnered with local schools for the Santagram project, which aims to deliver gift bags to older people across Faringdon over the festive period.
Alongside home care agency Home Instead, Ferendune Court and local schools have come together to do what they can to combat the isolation that many older people are facing this Christmas.
Dressed for the occasion, Rachel Jannaway, Home Instead Community Engagement Manager, last week delivered enough Santagram gift bags for each resident at Ferendune Court and was greeted at the door by Alison Grimshaw, Home Manager.
Alison said:
I feel so honoured to be part of a community with such amazingly generous hearts, especially after the unusual year we have experienced.
Ferendune Court resident, Pat Purbrick, said:
Receiving the gift bags was a surprise to be sure – but a welcome one! We’re so grateful to be in people’s thoughts at times like these and I know I speak for all the residents here when I say that this gesture is really touching.
The Santagram project is but one of many community initiatives that Ferendune Court is planning ahead of the new year. Set in a quiet market town location in its own beautiful grounds, Ferendune Court is close to local services and amenities and just a short drive away from the Cotswolds.
