Greenhive Care Home hosts Open Day

A care home in Peckham has organised a variety of autumn activities as part of an open day on Thursday 14 November, so members of the public can find out more about its thriving community.

Residents are invited to visit Anchor’s Greenhive in Brayards Road from 10.30am to 3pm.

In the morning visitors will be able to sample a selection of warm spiced teas or hot chocolate while listening to live entertainment and decorating cinnamon cupcakes with local schoolchildren. 

They will then be invited to enjoy a delicious complimentary lunch and afterwards staff will be running an autumn scented candle making session and giving goodie bags to every guest. 

Greenhive Manager Joel Bello said:

“We know the older people we work with enjoy the activities here. We’re holding an autumn open day so that members of the local community can have a look around the home and hear for themselves how happy a place this is to live and about the great community spirit we have here. We’ll be on hand to answer anyone’s questions, too.”

Iris Head, who has lived at Greenhive for three years, said:

“Greenhive is a very pleasant place to live. I love my room as it looks onto the garden and I’m still able to visit the shops. I’m not surprised Greenhive is rated good by the regulator because the carers are lovely and very caring. It is the best place to live.”
