Memberships and partnerships
Working in partnership is a key to our approach at Anchor.
We have well-established partnerships with diverse organisations across the country and are proud to be members of a range of influential bodies and groups. We are continually involved in new initiatives that raise standards and shape best-practice in our ever-changing and growing sector.
Our memberships
We are members of the following bodies and groups:
National Housing Federation (NHF)
NHF are an umbrella body that represents independent non-profit housing associations in the United Kingdom. It represents the work of member housing associations and campaigns on a range of housing and social policy issues.
National Care Forum (NCF)
NCF is a membership organisation for not-for-profit organisations in the care and support sector. It supports its members to improve social care provision and enhance the quality of life, choice, control and wellbeing of people who use care services.
The Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO)
ARCO is the main body representing the UK Integrated Retirement Community sector and aims to promote confidence in the sector and ensure all members are providing a high quality service to their residents. As an Approved Operator, we seek to adhere to the principles laid out in the ARCO Consumer Code at all the eligible communities that we have registered with ARCO.
Housing and Ageing Alliance
The Housing and Ageing Alliance is made up of a broad spectrum of people from local and national organisations working together with a single objective; to bring about improvements to the housing and living conditions of older people.
Heat Trust
Heat Trust is all about protecting heat network customers. They are an independent, non-profit consumer champion for heat networks that holds suppliers to account for the benefit of everyone involved.
Heat Trust strive to make sure customers enjoy the benefits of heating systems fit for the future by setting the standards they should expect, making sure they are treated fairly and working with suppliers to deliver high-quality customer service.
Anchor are a registered participant of the Heat Trust scheme. We have 7 participating Anchor locations:

Greener Futures Partnership
Anchor is a founding member of the Greener Futures Partnership, set up in 2021 by Abri, Home Group, Hyde, Sanctuary and Anchor; five of the UK’s largest housing associations. We work together combining our purchasing power, procurement methods and knowledge to enable the delivery of works which will improve the energy efficiency and affordability of our homes and enhance living conditions.

National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People (NAPA)
NAPA is a voluntary organisation dedicated to increasing the profile and understanding of the activity needs for older people.
Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC)
EAC provide information, advice and guidance on any aspect of care, support or housing for older people.
Re-engage
Re-engage is a national charity dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation among older people. They provide vital, life-enhancing social connections for older people at a time in their lives when their social circles are diminishing.
The Care Workers Charity (CWC)
Anchor is proud to support CWC, a charity supporting the basic welfare of current, former and retired care workers. Support is offered in the form of hardship grants, and online information and advice.
The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF)
The CTBF is the leading UK charity for people working behind the scenes in the film, cinema and commercial television industries. Our innovative partnership offers a discount in any Anchor care home to those who have worked in the film or commercial television industries as well as to parents of industry qualifying personnel.
