Middlesbrough Grange celebrates St Patrick’s Day
Colleagues at Middlesbrough Grange Care home in Middlesbrough donned green hats and glasses to get into the spirit of the day. The care home was decked out in shamrocks and green decorations made by the residents during arts and crafts activities to mark the feast day of Ireland’s patron saint, St Patrick.
The residents also took part in several activities to celebrate the occasion with live music from local singer Mark Carter and afternoon tea with Guinness served at the home’s inhouse pub!
Ann McDonald aged 89, has lived at Middlesbrough Grange for three years, said she enjoyed the party. Ann said she had:
I had high hopes for the singer and Mr Mark Carter definitely did not disappoint!
Tracy Hill, Manager of Middlesbrough Grange care home, said:
It has been great fun celebrating St Patrick’s Day here at Middlesbrough Grange. We’ve made decorations, organised fun activities so we could celebrate in style!
We enjoy organising fun events for residents on special days like St Patrick’s Day. They’re a great way for to keep our residents mentally and physically active and they’re also a lot of fun to organise as well!
