Local housing professional wins national award
A housing professional from Worcestershire has won a top prize at this year’s ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards.
Pru Choney, a compliance manager for leading national provider Anchor Hanover, overcame stiff competition to be named as the ASCP Women in Safety & Compliance winner. The judges commended Pru for her contribution and commitment to delivering effective compliance activities across the organisation. They were particularly impressed by her strategic planning and delivery of the organisation’s compliance assurance projects.
The ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards recognise outstanding individuals and organisations from the social housing and facilities management sectors, who go the extra mile to ensure safe and compliant working practices.
Pru Choney said: “It’s a great honour to have been recognised with this industry accolade. By making it easier for staff to connect and complete compliance related tasks it was possible to help improve engagement and commitment amongst colleagues.”
Claire Heyes, Chief Executive of the Association of Safety and Compliance Professionals (ASCP) said: “We received a record number of high-quality entries for this year's awards and the judges certainly had their work cut out, so this is an incredible and well-deserved achievement.
"Pru has demonstrated real dedication to ensuring colleagues and customers are fully educated and engaged in the importance of safety and compliance, using an empathetic, honest approach to gain trust and commitment.”
