JustPark extends free parking space scheme to Anchor Hanover workers
Parking app JustPark has announced that it is including Anchor Hanover’s staff in their new free parking scheme for NHS staff.
JustPark launched an initiative last month enabling people and businesses to offer parking near hospitals and other medical centres to critical care workers free of charge. This scheme has now been opened to Anchor Hanover, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of care and housing to older people, as a way of supporting the hard work and dedication of staff.
Anchor Hanover provides support to approximately 60,000 older people, the vast majority of whom are in the government’s stringent social distancing category. The initiative will benefit Anchor Hanover staff, many of them care workers who play a vital role in maintaining the UK’s health and social care sector.
People and businesses with parking spaces near to Anchor Hanover’s properties and care homes can now offer them for free on JustPark to Anchor Hanover staff via the app.
With a network of over 50,000 locations and 4.5 million users, there are many parking spaces available via JustPark that will be in convenient range of Anchor Hanover properties for staff to use. Colleagues looking to get access to the scheme will need to register with JustPark in order to take advantage of the free parking spaces.
The campaign aims to ease the burden of travelling and commuting for NHS staff and other critical care workers, and reduce parking congestion at hospitals, clinics, care homes and other medical centres.
Anyone wishing to offer a free parking space for NHS workers or Anchor Hanover staff are advised to go to the dedicated Coronavirus appeal page on the JustPark website.
Kate Smith, Business Services Director at Anchor Hanover, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care in later life said: “This is a great initiative by JustPark and we appreciate that they are welcoming Anchor Hanover colleagues working in our locations across the country to benefit from it. Providing critical care workers with free and accessible parking may seem like a small gesture but it will make a huge positive difference to our colleagues who travel to work to support and care for our residents.”
