Jane Ashcroft recognised as an influential leader at awards night

Anchor Chief Executive Jane Ashcroft has been named the second most influential leader in the independent healthcare sector at the HealthInvestor Power Fifty 2016.

Jane was described as a "strong" and "caring" leader and an “inspirational figure in the care sector”. She placed ahead of other business leaders, lenders and advisors in the rankings, which consider the top 50 key leaders who are making a real difference to the health and social care sectors.

The citation stated: “Not only does she have a CBE for services to older people, awarded in 2013, Jane has also particularly put Anchor on the map in recent times, leading the acquisition of 24 LNT Group care homes and Cavendish Healthcare Group towards the end of last year.

“Under Jane's leadership, the company has also been expanding in the innovative retirement living space with development underway on a couple of new retirement villages in the last year or so.”

Jane said: “This award is a credit to the hard work of colleagues across Anchor who are ensuring older people throughout England are able to enjoy happy living for the years ahead.”

The announcement was made at an event hosted by acclaimed scientist and TV presenter Lord Robert Winston.
