Anchor Hanover wins Accelerator PCA Showcase Award 2020
Anchor Hanover has been announced as winner of the Accelerator PCA Showcase Award 2020 in the Service Excellence During Crisis and Human-centred Leadership categories. Anchor Hanover was also a finalist in the Employee Wellbeing category.
The Accelerator PCA Showcase Awards celebrate organisations in any sector or industry for their remarkable efforts and innovation in customer service, employee wellbeing and leadership during the challenges of the 2020 pandemic.

Anchor Hanover was honoured for providing exceptional residential services and care for older people throughout the pandemic.

The care sector has clearly suffered during the pandemic and Anchor Hanover provided a highly engaging and innovative range of support packages to vulnerable care and retirement home residents, with positive impact and high resident take-up. They also demonstrated great collaboration with partners. In summary, Anchor Hanover really demonstrated their commitment to providing exceptional customer service and continuity in the context of the pandemic challenges. With its win in the Human-centred Leadership category, Anchor Hanover was also recognised for its focus on compassionate leadership and proactive communication with colleagues and residents. Anchor Hanover demonstrated exemplary evidence of 'push' communication, both to employees as well as residents. Their leaders understood how their external communications and engagement links with the community play a proactive role in the wellbeing of residents to prevent social isolation and loneliness. In summary, the winning entry in this category really demonstrated Anchor Hanover’s commitment to thoughtful leadership through change and clear, proactive communication.
