Anchor Hanover up for three Housing Heroes Awards

Leading national housing provider Anchor Hanover has been shortlisted in three categories as part of this year’s prestigious Housing Heroes Awards. 

Two senior colleagues are in the running for their leadership and contribution to the UK’s housing sector, as well as Anchor Hanover’s communications team. Rona Nicholson, Executive Director of Governance and Compliance, has been nominated for Lifetime Achievement in Housing, whilst Director of Property Winston Williams is in the running as the Inspirational Leader of the Year.

Rona’s passion for social housing began over 40 years ago. Her career has included time in a number of London local authorities and at the Housing Corporation, where she was responsible for the delivery of their investment programme in London as well as the regulation of some of the largest associations in the sector. She has been the chair of Homes England’s Equality Advisory Group and is leading advocate for inclusivity and fairness for all.

With a strong background in property and regeneration, Winston has worked in a wide range of senior management roles across the sector. This includes being part of a successful executive team brought in to turn around the fortunes of a failing housing provider. Most recently Winston has been leading on a £160 million asset investment programme for Anchor Hanover. In his private time Winston provides mentoring and support to young people and has undertaken the role of Apprentice Ambassador.
