Hampshire Lakes hosts summer garden party
Residents and visitors to Hampshire Lakes, retirement village in Yateley, hosted a fun-filled Summer Garden Party this week.
People enjoyed performances by vintage wartime act, The Bon Bons, who sang popular songs from the 1940s, including the likes of Glen Miller, The Andrews Sisters and Vera Lynn, as well as artists such as Beyoncé and Britney Spears with a vintage twist.
Guests drank Pimm’s and lemonade and tucked into a selection of barbequed chicken and burgers, all made by Hampshire Lakes’ very own resident chef. A local ice-cream truck also joined in the fun and residents treated themselves to a cool treat before continuing on with the party.
Rhona Smith, General Manager for Hampshire Lakes, said; “Everyone had a fabulous time singing and dancing along to the music. It was a great opportunity for people to come together, have fun and enjoy the fantastic community life here at Hampshire Lakes.”
The property is part of Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of care and housing for older people.
