Born in 1918, the second youngest of seven children, Andy marked his special birthday with a special party attended by a number of his family members.
When the Second World War broke out Andy was called up for service but before he left he married Peggy, who he joined in New-Biggin-by-Sea after the war finished.
Peggy and Andy were married for 77 years and had two daughters Betty and Valerie, who joined Andy on his special birthday.,
